FESTIVAL ON THE HILL is bringing live bands, family entertainment, bouncy castles and much more to the Phoenix Centre, Townhill, Swansea.
25th August 2018, 12 noon – 7pm | Paradise Park, Powys Avenue, Swansea SA1 6PH
Family Support Wales are working with the National Autistic Society Swansea and the Phoenix Centre Townhill to bring you ‘Festival on the Hill’ in Swansea.
This fun packed family day will include a range of bands and acts preforming live on our stage in the marquee. We will have stalls offering a range of crafts, collectables and goods. We will also have various activities in place such as dance programs for all the family. A range of foods will be available all day, with the bacon and egg butty top of the most wanted list!
We have some great acts lined up for the day. Paul Edwards former singer and guitarist with the Swansea group ‘Doghouse’ kicks off the day with an acoustic solo set. We have a set from the well-travelled acoustic and vocal duo Kodiak Avenue, and more including Voices On The Hill Community Choir and Swansea Ukulele Club Our headliners Blue Rope will close the day with the final set. The acts will be playing on the main field at the Phoenix Centre in one of our marquees.
Away from the live music, on our artificial pitch, we will have an array of family activities and stalls.
In the Phoenix Centre there will be some dedicated ‘quiet rooms’ should any of those with ASD or those with sensory conditions need some quiet time to chill.
To help and support families enjoying the festival, Family Support Wales will have their community support staff at hand. All staff are DBS checked and trained to work with children and adults and they will be available if you should need.
